It started with a cake. Celebrating Mom Edna’s 95th birthday on Mothers Day.
Her birthday isn’t actually until the 19th, but DK (a.k.a. brother Daryl) wanted to organize a family party on a day we were all available.
Here’s the birthday girl, posing for the real photographer.
She huffed and she puffed and eventually blew out both candles!
The John Macy family made a family tree that will help her count her blessings.
This “blessing” gobbled his share of the cake.
Celebrating continued with this edible arrangement delivered from Iraq. I’m guessing they had a local contact.
This doesn’t happen every day. TWO helium balloons competing for air space in the Macy house. Another celebration occurred last night that involved lots of food, generous gifts, heartfelt affirmation, laughter, reminiscing. Mauri was honored by the handbell choir for his 25 years of leadership and indicated they think he’s #1.
I do too.
