just let god do his thing

Remember when I bragged about keeping a plant alive an entire year? How I hovered over that thing, making sure it had the right light and the right water and the right fertilizer?

Mauri was wandering around the backyard this afternoon and just happened to have his new iPad in hand to snap this picture. He e-mailed it to me at the office with this little test: “What do you notice?”

I aced the quiz: “A bucket of flowers!”

If you recall this picture that shows the plant I kept alive an entire year….right behind it is a lovely spring planting from NFC Bells friends. After the blooms faded, this plant got relegated to a bucket by the woodpile and all but forgotten for an entire year. I wonder if God feels just as proud of his accomplishment as I feel about mine. Or maybe I should just acknowledge my very small part in growing a plant at all.

I recognize those plants!! I’m so glad the bulbs came back 🙂 🙂

God as proud of his work. Maybe questionable theology but I love the sentiment!
