Mauri’s getting a slow start this year in sending me postable pictures from the coast. Now that’s he’s into his second week, he won’t have as much prep work to do and might get out more with his camera. I kinda like this one from last week:
But I especially like one he sent this afternoon. It gives a pretty good idea of what a walk on the beach was like.
Makes me want to curl up in a heavy blanket and read my book.
This type of beach scene (second pic) is not often photographed, and makes me shiver! (Definitely not a summer camp publicity candidate!)
Yes, he said the rocks were right behind the people. I’m amazed their shadows show up. To have shadows there has to be light–somewhere! Mauri said the sun had be shining brightly for hours that afternoon and then the fog moved in. This was taken on his “little” camera, so no adjustments–just point and shoot.
