It’s Saturday again. Are you ready to join me for more Hodgepodge?

This might put you to sleep.

I did the math. 65 years. They have stories.

What’s to not love about that puppy?

If you come to my memorial service, be prepared to sing “Blessed Assurance” and “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.”

Oh, this is hilarious! Hiss Hiss

Hi Ben! Every once in a while I catch a glimpse of him on Facebook.

Say “Ahhhhhh.”

Long-time friends Fred and Rose stopped by for a (too) short visit last weekend. They were in town for Fred’s 50th class reunion at George Fox, where Mauri and Margaret-Rose first met them. Fred and Mauri taught together back at Friends Bible College in Haviland, KS, in the early ’70s, then worked together again in public schools in Holly, CO. That’s where Mauri wrote the song “Dreading Tomorrow So.” I’m sure something good happened there. Our visits with these two are spread way too far apart.

Bailey’s home from college for the summer!

A miracle! Something Lisa gave me is still alive, even budding. She’s good at giving me live plants and I’m good at killing them. A miracle!

And finally . . . a Mothers Day shoutout. Among other things, she taught me to sew (I made that suit I’m wearing) and gave me the freedom to make a fool out of myself wearing a skyscraper on my head.

Have a great week!

    Dear Sherry,
I always love reading your posts……

“Great is Thy Faithfulness” is my all time favorite hymn! You have a peony growing, also one of my favs and I LOVE the hat!

  3. Marcile says:

She really did teach you to sew. The plaid matches all the way up and around. Happy Mother’s Day.
