Quinn had a birthday on Monday and I got to spend it with her. That sentence really should end with an exclamation point—Mom/daughter days don’t happen often when one of us lives in Arizona, the other in Oregon.
“Joe” owns three restaurants in the Gilbert, Arizona, area and offers anyone who has a birthday to enjoy as many as three $10 meals, if one can handle that much outstanding food in one day’s time. It’s known in those parts as “The Trifecta.” Quinn’s crazy full life doesn’t always allow her this luxury when May 2 comes around, but this year she planned for it. And I got to be her date. (Business travels took Dusty away.)
No surprise, I took pictures!
Breakfast! Just the two of us.
Lunch! shared with . . .
. . . the Carlsons. Oh, joy! Hadn’t held this sweet boy since Christmas.
With these folks and two granddaughters.
Granddaughters who helped choose the birthday cupcakes. How could their mother possibly be 45 years old?
I took this picture yesterday.
Seventeen and Sassy
It took a great deal of restraint to not share all 25 birthday pics in the series.

Day two included time in Verrado, new home to Taylor, Beth, and Declan.
Showing off those two teeth.
Waiting for tumbling class to start.
Through the watching window.
Then off to the airport. Two days to fill up my eyes and heart. It can be done.
