Let me start by saying this might not appear to be a very interesting post, just a bunch of pictures of the new store in town. So I’ll just come right out and encourage you to power through to the end, even if you’re bored.
After lunch Mauri invited me to walk with him the few blocks to town to check out the market that opened yesterday.
Is this cool, or what?
Don’t look now, but I think that might be SHIPLAP on the far wall.
So many possibilities for someone whose strongest drink is ginger ale.
Mauri’s been doing business at this location for years—it was a bike shop before Social Goods came to town—but I don’t think he’s ever been invited to the basement. It has been repurposed as wine storage.
Temperature controlled, might be a nice place to hang out next summer.
This was my favorite part. A whole level of Melissa & Doug toys! Almost makes me want to be young again. So not really.
One bag each to carry home.
We’ll definitely be back!
We didn’t exactly make it home without having to stop off at an estate sale. Everything was half price, and this old wooden trunk called our name. Hey, Macys—TAKE ME HOME!
It was a little big and a little heavy for us to carry home, so the strong man went back for it.
We had some backyard paraphernalia that needed a place to live. Perfect!
Memorial Park attracts some very special people to us. John texted us that he and OK were there, so we walked over to say hey.
And now the special finale for this post of our day’s adventures:
Seven-year-old Oscar, usually on the move, sat still and posed for my camera. This photo is a keeper—and so is he.
