Will turns one in Hawaii…which means we celebrate from afar. Since I have three other grandsons, I will be careful to avoid any hyperbole, unless of course you will allow me to have four smartest or four cutest or four sweetest. English is so limiting. Sigh.
But we celebrate this grandson today and rejoice together in all that he has become in one year.
I have the advantage of access to the Macy family photo albums and could pull up these two pics of Will’s daddy’s first birthday. There’s a family who also rejoiced together in a loved and prized son. (To clarify, that is Pete’s mom, Margaret-Rose.)
See what I mean? That face is sooooo Pete!
And then, because it’s what I do, I must share some other daddy/son comparisons. First Will, who loves to make “crazy faces.” His mama’s own description.
And then today…
And one generation ago…
The apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
