You are invited to join this photographic review of our family’s annual week at the beach. Where should we start?
At the beach! It’s a steady draw.
In case you can’t tell—the water at Rockaway Beach never gets warm.
Moving closer to the house, there’s plenty to enjoy in the yard.
John Macy set up his slack line.
If you think this looks easy (from watching the Olympics) you should try it sometime!
If I put a caption bubble over Will, what would it say?
And of course the bubble fun.
With Mauri’s bum knee (scheduled for replacement next month), he hung out mostly on the porch, where the fun often came to him.
The fun also comes inside.
The girls enjoyed creating button jewelry.
Posing with their new bling.
Sage watches her cousin across the table.
So that’s how you work a spoon.
We’re lucky to have professional photogs in our family who are willing to brave the sand with their good camera.
Gus and her grands!
Part of the tradition is a day up at Cannon Beach, for beach bikes,
and of course Bruce’s Candy Kitchen.
We also go down to Tillamook for ice cream. What flavor will Will want?
Here’s where we bid a white-hanky farewell to the Andersons, who will drive all the way to Bend (3+ hours) for a motel stay and an early flight back to Arizona.
The rest of us headed back to the ‘berg the next day, already making plans for what we’ll do at the beach next year.
