This isn’t a post about me, but I need to first express my joy in living in one place long enough to watch children grow up.

We were invited to four open houses for high school graduates who were babies when I married Mauri nearly 18 years ago.

Natalie, the one at the top in the first picture, was only a few days old when she came (with her parents and grandma) to our Newberg wedding reception.

And now these four and quite a few others from our church community are ready for college. Where does the time go?

First Kyle’s open house.

Then Joseph’s.

Today Natalie’s.

And finally Mareesa’s.

Oh, and incidentally, all four of those whose open houses I attended are 4.0 valedictorians! I’m just a little bit wowed by that fact. (photo swiped from Facebook)

They might all go off to college, but I’ll keep praying for them and following their lives with special interest.
