fully appreciated

Our boss Elizabeth takes great delight in expressing her appreciation to Denise and me for the work we do. In fact, she does it so regularly, I didn’t connect today’s scavenger hunt to administrative professionals day, which is—today. Who knew?

Elizabeth “covered the phones” while Denise and I hunted.

Denise read the first clue while I grabbed my camera. Of course.

“Quiet and green, with a round, fluted head, at Tuesday’s team meetings, I hear all that is said.” Eric wrote this clue. In fact, all the pastors on our team were invited to write one. But half of them are out at the coast for our regional pastors conference, so the mice are playing.

We’re gettin’ good at this!

I spoke too soon. We were barking up the wrong tree, thinking coffee beans in the bag.

When it was actually this here beanbag!

We’re nearing the finish line (I exercised restraint and didn’t include every last clue).

Here is where I finally made the connection. Thick, maybe, or it might just be I need to spend more time with the calendar.

Then we got to guess who wrote which clue. And then—we went out to lunch. We feel fully appreciated. Thanks!
