blowout – part 3

After a long day of waiting, answering questions, being tested for this and that, signing releases, looking at x-rays, and talking to the surgeon–we could come home and eat our Pogy subs. We learned that both the tibia and the fibula are broken. Dr. Isaacson will repair the damages on Thursday morning at 10 or so, using metal plates and screws and whatever else she has on hand. Yippee! I can hardly wait! Unless I’m in a lot of pain, Mauri will haul me home the same day. The doc says we can count on taking our June road trip. Ain’t’a that good news? We think so. If you think about us on Thursday, you might offer up a prayer on our behalf. Thanks!

Our young neighbor has a broken leg at the moment too. His cast comes off in a week or so. Maybe when he’s back on his feet again you can borrow his golf cart to get around. 🙂 Prayers for tomorrow.– K

Whatever else she has on hand, eh? That could get interesting! Maybe you’ll be able to set off airport metal detectors – that could be fun. 🙂

Happy hopeful thoughts for Thursday and beyond!
